Three Birds Dispute Resolution was founded in 2023 by experienced multi-jurisdiction lawyer, mediator and arbitrator, Aleem O. Shahid.

We are a specialist dispute resolution and investigative consultancy based in London and Islamabad. We advise, represent and support parties in litigation, international arbitration and other modes of dispute resolution. Where a facts-based approached is required, we carry out independent investigations and inquiries on behalf of clients.

We assist in disputes relating to diverse industries and sectors, and our cases often involve a cross-border element.

Three Birds Dispute Resolution works with international law practices, businesses, non-governmental organisations, subject experts and private clients at every stage of the dispute cycle, from the inception of conflict through to enforcement or appeal.

We specialise in commercial disputes, construction and energy disputes, insurance and reinsurance matters, and fraud cases.

Aleem O. Shahid

With a broad-based international commercial dispute resolution and investigative practice, Aleem is an experienced advocate, mediator and international arbitrator with a track record for resolving complex and high-value disputes.

Having successfully acted for parties from diverse industries across multiple jurisdictions across since 2008, Aleem also accepts appointments as an arbitrator and mediator.

Aleem is a Barrister and Solicitor-Advocate in England & Wales, an Advocate of the Dubai International Finance Centre (DIFC) Courts and is an Advocate of the High Courts in Pakistan.

He is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (MCIArb) and is registered as an arbitrator with the Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC) and the Tashkent International Arbitration Centre (TIAC). Aleem also practices as a mediator in civil and commercial disputes in the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates and Pakistan.

Before establishing Three Birds Dispute Resolution as a consultancy practice in 2023, Aleem was a Senior Associate at a leading international construction and energy law practice in London.
